Dance company participated in the Utah high school dance festival at BYU, this is our form of state competition/festival with all of the 1A-6A Utah schools including performing arts schools. This weekend was full of amazing dance, friends, education, adjudication, performances and unforgettable moments as a team to meet new people, learn and grow.
Canyon View Dance Co. received straight superior markings in every dance and an overall ranking of superior! Only a handful of superiors are handed out every year, in all of 1A-6A. Four of our dancers, (3 seniors and 1 junior- Tanley McCurdy, Raylee Robinson, Savanah Lacy, and Ava Knudsen) that took the scholarship class were awarded the same scholarship to the University of Wyoming. Our incredibly talented team President /captain Tanley McCurdy was also awards two other scholarships to the University of Montana and Wasatch dance company plus the outstanding student award!
